As an introduction to the key elements of the Trombone version of Arban, adapted for the Tuba, this book has been designed to provide young tuba players with the essentials of a great method. Basic exercises from the parent method have been arranged in sequence, some in their original form and the more difficult ones adjusted to take account of student abilities. The book will improve the technical facility and musicianship of the player and prepare him or her for the more advanced material in Arban s Famous Method. My First Arban is tailored to work in either an individual or group lesson setting and is guaranteed to help the young student achieve a level of playing proficiency.
